Aaron Kivisto, Ph.D., HSPP

Aaron Kivisto, Ph.D., HSPP is a clinical psychologist and co-founder of the Sycamore Center for Assessment and Psychological Services, LLC. He brings extensive experience in conducting psychological evaluations for children, teens, and adults, addressing a wide range of clinical, academic, and forensic concerns.

Dr. Kivisto earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee and completed advanced training through a pre-doctoral internship at the NYU School of Medicine / Bellevue Hospital Center and a post-doctoral fellowship in the Children and the Law Program at Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kivisto is a tenured Professor of Clinical Psychology and former Co-Director of the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at the University of Indianapolis. He has trained and mentored hundreds of doctoral students, shaping the development of future professionals in psychological assessment. Dr. Kivisto serves on the editorial board of leading scientific journals in psychological assessment, a role that reflects his recognized expertise and ongoing engagement with the latest advances in the field. His research has been widely published and cited, including by the U.S. Supreme Court, and featured in major media outlets such as The New York Times and CNN.
